Private Art Museum Design China, Shanghai
Asia now boasts the largest amount of individual billionaires in the world, some of which are avid collectors of art.
Over two years ago we started working with a Chinese collector whose art collection had grown to the largest in private hands.
The creation of a Private Art Museum (also known as a Single Donor Museum) would allow his collection to be viewed by the public for the first time. Some of the art has never been on public display before.
Initially we carried out studies working with the art collector’s team to answer many questions which would help determine the necessary square meterage required to display this large and eclectic collection.
As with all projects of this nature, progress can sometimes seem slow, but after numerous locations were considered, we can now confirm a site has now been secured in Shanghai, China.
Now works can begin in earnest, working up details with the chosen architectural practise to make the museum project an iconic reality.
As the project progresses we will provide additional information and images so check back from time to time or check out our blog.
